What will you do as a Senior Applications and Automation Developer at Sealed Air?
As a Senior Applications and Automation Developer, you will design, build, deploy, and support business applications, workflow automations, integrations, dashboards, data solutions, and AI-enabled capabilities for Sealed Air’s Food Division. You will work closely with business and technology partners to rapidly turn evolving or ad hoc needs into practical solutions. This is a highly hands-on role for someone who enjoys building, testing, improving, and delivering useful applications quickly while ensuring solutions remain secure, maintainable, and ready to scale when needed.
Why do we need you?
Design and rapidly build business applications, workflow automations, approval processes, dashboards, scripts, data transformations, and API-based integrations that solve evolving business needs.
Develop solutions using Microsoft Power Platform and related technologies, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, SharePoint, Dataverse, Azure, and other approved Microsoft tools.
Build and integrate AI-enabled capabilities into applications and workflows, applying artificial intelligence where it improves automation, productivity, decision-making, or user experience.
Automate multi-step business processes involving workflows, approvals, handoffs, notifications, validations, and exception handling across different functions and systems.
Write maintainable code and configuration using Python and other relevant development technologies while applying version control, testing, secure development, and reusable design practices.
Design integrations and data flows across enterprise platforms such as ERP, CRM, collaboration, analytics, customer service, pricing, and other business systems.
Partner with IT and system owners to ensure solutions are designed with the infrastructure, identity and access, security, Azure deployment, monitoring, and production requirements needed for successful implementation.
Deliver practical solutions quickly, iterate based on user feedback, and continuously improve applications and automations while balancing speed, quality, scalability, and long-term supportability.
What do you need to be successful?
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform, particularly Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse, SharePoint, or comparable automation and application development technologies.
Strong proficiency in Python for application development, automation, scripting, data transformation, or integration.
Experience working within the Microsoft technology ecosystem, including Azure, Microsoft development tools, DevOps practices, or related platforms.
Demonstrated experience designing and implementing workflow automation for multi-step business processes, approvals, handoffs, notifications, and exception management.
Experience integrating artificial intelligence into applications, automations, or business workflows rather than solely using AI as a development productivity tool.
Experience with APIs, system integrations, data models, SQL, identity and access requirements, testing, deployment, monitoring, and production support.
Ability to rapidly develop practical applications and automations in response to changing or ad hoc business needs and improve them through iterative user feedback.
Understanding of infrastructure and deployment requirements, including cloud environments, authentication, single sign-on, access controls, and the requirements needed to transition solutions into production.
Familiarity with ERP environments such as SAP, JDE, AS400, or comparable enterprise systems is an advantage.
Availability to travel up to 10%.
