Shift: Night
Schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM; 2/2/3 schedule
Shift Premium: $1.00
Pay rate: $20.00/hr (Negotiable depending on experience)

Join Sealed Air as a Press Operator in our St Joseph, MO facility and become part of a global leader in packaging solutions. In this role, you'll operate flexographic printing equipment to produce high-quality packaging materials while maintaining safety standards and production efficiency.

This position operates in a manufacturing environment with exposure to typical production equipment and materials. The role requires working rotating shifts to support 24/7 operations. PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) is provided and required.

Key Responsibilities

Operate flexographic printing presses and related equipment to produce high-quality packaging materials
Set up, adjust, and maintain printing equipment according to job specifications
Monitor print quality and make necessary adjustments to ensure consistent output
Perform quality checks and maintain detailed production records
Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues to minimize downtime
Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S principles
Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies
Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and quality standards
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications

Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required
Mechanical and manufacturing experience is desired
1-3 years of experience operating flexographic printing equipment preferred, but not required
Technical certification in printing technology or a related field is a plus
Knowledge of color management and print quality standards
Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Ability to read and interpret job specifications and technical documentation
Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and 5S methodology
Strong attention to detail and quality focus
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

Additional Requirements:
Requires basic reading, writing, and math skills.
Ability to pass a hue and color vision assessment.
Able to work independently and instruct others as necessary.
Able to follow instructions and make decisions based on data obtained.
Computer knowledge: Word, Excel, SAP, and others.

Safety Requirements:
Participate in safety observations
Wear all required PPE and PFS: beard/hair net, hearing protection, safety glasses, and safety shoes.
Perform all duties using safe work methods
Attend and participate in monthly safety training.
Comply with all established site and department safety rules and policies.
Report unsafe conditions, all accidents and near misses immediately to the shift supervisor or his/her designate
