Pay Range: $30.68 - $46.02 / hour

Summary

This position performs non-invasive ultrasound diagnostic procedures on the heart (echo, TEE and stress echo). This position works under the supervision of the Director and is employed by Mosaic Health Systems.

Duties

Performs echocardiographic studies, stress echo, TEE, and contrast echo studies.
Recognizes sonographic characteristics of normal and abnormal tissues, structures and blood flow; Adjusts scanning technique to optimize image quality and spectral waveform characteristics.
Analyzes sonographic findings throughout the course of the examination so that a comprehensive exam is completed and sufficient data is provided to the physician to direct patient management and render a final diagnosis.
Assesses patient charts and prepares preliminary report worksheet for physician.
Perform patient assessments as it relates to the diagnostic ultrasound procedure.
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

All required education is a minimum requirement. Higher levels of education are acceptable. Successful completion of accredited Ultrasound program or Equivalent work experience paired with ARDMS or CCI Registered Cardiac Sonographer required.
ARDMS - Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonography or ARDCS - Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer required within 18 months and BCLS - Basic Life Support upon employment required.
Experience in performing echocardiograms preferred.
