Summary
  • This position evaluates, plans and implements treatment programs for the rehabilitation of patients, as directed by a provider, using approved treatment procedures. Provides patient/family education. Participates in family conferences. Responsible for all necessary documentation as required by accepted medical guidelines.
  • The Occupational Therapist works under the supervision of the Director and is employed by Mosaic Health System.
Duties
  • Evaluates patients referred by providers.
  • Plans a treatment program, using appropriate treatment procedures that will best accomplish the established goals.
  • Implements the treatment program using approved procedures.
  • Documents treatment procedures and the patient’s response to them, on a regular basis.
  • Responsible for treatment procedures, documentation, and supervision of occupational therapy assistants, occupational therapy students, and Rehab Aide.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of accredited occupational therapy school with Bachelor of Science/ARTS.
  • Licensure in the State of Missouri. BLS certification required within 90 days.
