Summary

Patient Meals Associate

Patient Meal Associate works under the supervision of a Manager or Resource in the department. This position requires outstanding

customer service and compassion for our patients. Duties include assembling patient meals, delivering trays to patients in all areas of the

hospital, stocking, doing dishes and cleaning. This position involves extensive walking, lifting up to 30 lbs, turning, stooping and the use of a

step stool.

Cafeteria Associate

Cafeteria Associate works under the supervision of a Manager or Resource in the department. This position requires outstanding

customer service and an outgoing personality. Duties include serving customers, cooking, grilling, assembling menu items, running a cash register, making Starbucks drinks, cleaning and a variety of other tasks. This position involves standing for full shifts of 8 hours or more, lifting up to 30 lbs, turning, stooping and the use of a step stool.

Food Service Utility Associate

The Food Service Utility position works under the supervision of the Manager, Lead or Resource to complete cleaning and sanitation duties for all areas of the Nutrition and Dining Services department. They will perform a variety of miscellaneous responsibilities necessary to maintain a sanitary, safe, orderly and attractive environment. This position involves standing for full shifts of 8 hours

or more, lifting up to 30 lbs, turning, stooping and the use of a step stool.

Food Production II

Food Production Associate works under the supervision of a Manager or Executive Chef. Duties include meal prep work, cooking, and baking in mass quantities, assembling patient meals, stocking, doing dishes and cleaning. This position involves standing for full shifts of 8 hours or more, lifting up to 50 lbs, turning, stooping and the use of a step stool.

This position is employed by Mosaic Health System.

Duties

  • Assembles patient trays according to the tray tickets using the standards for plate presentation and garnishing.
  • Accurately portions food for patients. Accurately assembles trays according to the patient’s dietary restrictions.
  • Sets up and operates dish machine and pot and pan area in accordance with sanitation and safety regulations.
  • Follows established timeliness of meal delivery goals set by department and all department meal tray procedures. This includes using the tray monitoring system to document timely delivery of patient meals.
  • Pass Food Safety test with a score of 85% or higher
  • Operates cash register and accuracy must be within 1% of sales
  • Maintain food temperature logs and properly store and label all food items
  • Retrieves dirty trays, dishes, and silverware from patient floors in a quiet and respectful manner
  • Empties waste receptacles and transports waste to appropriate destination
  • Prepares food for patients, special functions and cafeteria using standardized recipes in the amount specified by production sheets; utilizing food and plate presentation as instructed.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or currently enrolled in High School if under the age of 18
