Summary
  • The PFS Support Specialist's general responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Administrative tasks associated with supporting remote Patient Financial Services staff • Sorting, scanning, distributing and indexing mail to system and/or appropriate Revenue Cycle Depts. • Managing and following up on task requests from remote staff. • Managing client invoices on behalf of hospital • Distributing incoming faxes to remote staff. • Managing the billing and follow-up of claims related to manual claims workflows This position is employed by Mosaic Life Care.
Duties
  • Works daily to sort and distribute paper mail and digitized mail from multiple systems.
  • Manages the client bill process on a monthly basis and acts as a client liaison daily.
  • Supports the Patient Financial Services Department remote staff by coordinating programs or distributing items on behalf of the hospital.
  • Performs all other duties and special projects as assigned by departmental leaders.
Qualifications
  • H.S. Diploma required. Associate's Degree preferred.
  • 2 years of non-clinical healthcare experience, preferably in revenue cycle preferred.
