The pharmacy internship program provides an opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in a pharmacy environment, functioning under the direct supervision of a pharmacist while enhancing knowledge and technical and clinical competency level. The pharmacy intern ensures that patient care is maintained under the supervision of a clinical pharmacist.
This position reports to the Pharmacy Director and is employed by Mosaic Health Systems.

The pharmacy internship program provides an opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in a pharmacy environment, functioning under the direct supervision of a pharmacist while enhancing knowledge and technical and clinical competency level. The pharmacy intern ensures that patient care is maintained under the supervision of a clinical pharmacist.
This position reports to the Pharmacy Director and is employed by Mosaic Health Systems.
Duties
- Assist pharmacists in preparation and distribution of medication, including patient counseling
- Partner with pharmacy leadership in the implementation of pharmacy initiatives
- Verify, fill and package prescriptions, take payment, and interact with customers
- Assist medication history team
- Complete special projects within the hospital and retail pharmacy operations
- Participate in educational experiences
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Pharmacist or pharmacy leadership
- Assist pharmacists in preparation and distribution of medication, including patient counseling
- Partner with pharmacy leadership in the implementation of pharmacy initiatives
- Other duties as assigned
- High School diploma or equivalent. Active enrollment in an accredited School of Pharmacy required.
- Pharmacy Intern Registration with the Missouri State Board of Pharmacy
