Details Emergency Management Trainer Disaster/Emergency Services Full Time Status Day Shift Pay: Starting at $22.44 - $33.66 / hour Summary Participates in the assessment, development, planning, implementation, ongoing education, evaluation and promotion of fire safety, active shooter, evacuation, and Environments of Care inspections. Also Performs activities with training/educational programs and software implementation within Mosaic Life Care. Functions as a Facilitator, Consultant, Educator, Researcher, and Change Agent, and as well as an emergency responder. The Emergency Management Training Division Trainer works under the leadership of DIRECTOR-Safety and Security, and the Emergency Management Manager, and through partnership with an Education Development Specialist, and is employed by Mosaic Life Care. Duties Coordinates with the Emergency Manager under the direction of the TL of safety and security to research, assess, recommend and implement changes/improvements in the development and delivery of safety preparedness education / training. Educates on technical as well as tactical skills. Understands and integrates the principles of adult learning. Documents activities and reports on a daily basis, providing information to the leadership. Officers will maintain all equipment and vehicles in a constant state of readiness. Provides learning services such as learning plan development, learning materials development, job aids and technical and professional skills training. Conducts evaluation of training and other program offerings, recommending and implementing change as appropriate. Completes administrative tasks associated with training, including assignment and maintenance of training records, security sign-on, etc. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Emergency Management or related field or five years’ experience in pre-hospital, hospital and/or emergency management. Or, a minimum of two years college preferred preferably in criminal justice, or Fire Safety and or Post Certified Police Academy. Heart Saver certification within 90 Days is required. Must complete within first year Basic Incident Command System 100, 200, 300, 400, 700, and 800, certifications is required. Certification in Advanced Hazmat Life Support (AHLS) is preferred. ICS300, ICS400 within first year of employment if not currently certified at time of application is required. Chauffeurs license or ability to obtain valid chauffeur’s driver`s license within 90 Days is required within 90 days. 2004 Federal law Enforcement Act H.R. 218 for Carrying Concealed Firearm, or a Valid CCW Certification is required. Must start the International Association of Hospital Safety and Security basic Security Officer Exam is required within 120 days. 5 years of Experience in pre-hospital, hospital and/or emergency management (experience may be substituted for the 4 year college degree.) is required. 5 Years Supervisory/training position preferably in the Law Enforcement, Fire Safety, Military Security, Emergency Management, and Federal (DHS Department of Homeland Security) is required.
