Summary

  • The Outpatient Retail Pharmacist Lead – Same Day is responsible for providing safe, accurate, and patient‑centered medication services in a Meds to Bed hospital retail pharmacy. This position dispenses prescriptions, counsels patients, manages workflow, ensures regulatory compliance, and provides exceptional customer service. The Outpatient Retail Pharmacist Lead – Same Day is a critical member of the healthcare team that coordinates medication services with hospital and clinic staff for safe and effective patient care. In addition to staffing the position works in coordination with pharmacy leadership on activities including, but not limited to, scheduling, caregiver performance reviews, regulatory compliance, payroll review, and attending various meetings as requested. This position is employed by Mosaic Life Care.

Duties

  • Serve as Pharmacist-In-Charge (PIC). Work closely with the pharmacy team to perform various lead activities such as scheduling, payroll review, vacation request review, caregiver performance review, regulatory compliance, orientation, training, and attending meetings as needed.
  • Accurately review, verify, and dispense prescriptions in compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Counsel patients on proper medication use including OTC recommendations.
  • Oversee pharmacy technicians and manage workflow for safety and efficiency.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • PharmD from an accredited college of Pharmacy required.
  • License in good standing with the Missouri State Board of Pharmacy upon hire is required. License in good standing with the Kansas State Board of Pharmacy preferred upon 1 year of hire.
  • Minimum of three years' experience in retail pharmacy preferred.
