  • Pay: $21.67 - $34.67 / hour
  • This position cares for patients under direction of RN and medical staff by performing the primary duties according to established standards.
  • This position works under the supervision of the Director of Emergency Services or designee, and is employed by Mosaic Life Care.
Duties
  • Transports patients to rooms as appropriate. Assists with patient disrobing, takes vital signs and pulse oximetry, applies cardiac monitors. Transports patients and families to other departments and units as designated.
  • Collects and transports patient specimens including blood, urine, stool and sputum samples.
  • Performs point of care testing including quality controls and instrument maintenance.
  • Performs EKG’s and uploads into EMR.
  • Restocks supplies, SPD equipment, linens and logs in all areas in Emergency Department. Responsible for oxygen tank replacement (checking, replacing in department, and changing out).
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Degree from an accredited school of practical nursing or Accredited Paramedic Training Program is required.
  • LPNIV - LPN IV Cert in the State of Missouri or Kansas, depending upon designated work location or Paramedic License in the state of Missouri is required upon hire. Clinical\BCLS - Basic Life Support is required within 90 days of hire.
  • 1 Year Emergency Services experience is preferred.
