Summary
  • Candidates residing in the following states will be considered for remote employment: Alabama, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, Nebraska, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah, and Virginia.   • Under the direction and guidance of the Vice President of Revenue Cycle, the Director of Medication Assistance is responsible for Responsibilities include selecting, training and retaining caregivers; planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating performance, rewarding, coaching, and counseling caregivers. The Director of Medication Assistance should identify programs available to assist patients with replacement of medications, implants and copay assistance. In addition, they are responsible for assisting in obtaining authorizations for some high dollar infusion medications in coordination with the pre-authorization team and the infusion department. This position is employed by Mosaic Life Care.
Duties
  • Vision. The Director works in collaboration with direct report caregivers to articulate a vision for the future direction of the department, and assures that every decision made advances the department toward that vision. This leader is knowledgeable of national trends and applies this knowledge to benefit the department; anticipates changes that will be required to realize the vision; and guides transformation in a systematic, inspirational manner. The Director is a thoughtful leader and expert regarding his or her department and is a valued internal resource for this knowledge.
  • Building Partnerships. A primary role for the Director is to build highly effective partnerships with key stakeholders across the organization. The Director creates highly effective, consultative relationships with internal and external customers. The Director, as a content expert, is effective in assessing customer needs, educating customers in the processes, and keeps customers informed relative to changes and improvements. The Director values consultative approaches and instills this in direct report caregivers.
  • People Development. The Director accomplishes his or her goals through effective selection, development and coaching of the caregiver team. The Director continually seeks and applies best practice approaches in providing feedback through formal monthly and annual performance reviews and regular informal conversations. The Director uses critical conversation techniques to retain and grow high performers; to provide clarity and development for middle performers; and to improve or deselect low performers, continually seeking to improve both the clinical, administrative and behavioral skills of front-line caregivers. The Director sees self and front-line caregiver development as an integral obligation and function of his or her role. The Director understands his or her role as a model for HEART behaviors.
  • Evidence-Based Leadership. The Director continually gathers information from a variety of sources: customers, caregivers, leaders, and others to identify critical issues and problems and to develop breakthrough solutions. This leader continually seeks knowledge related to best-practice, evidence-based leadership approaches and engages others through teaching, feedback and encouragement. The Director navigates through difficult, complex situations, helping to resolve ambiguity and inspire others to their best performance.
  • Other. The Director participates on a variety of multi-disciplinary, cross-functional teams and committees to represent the department and to contribute to broader organizational outcomes. The Director invests in learning and education to continuously develop own capabilities and to maintain knowledge of national trends.
Qualifications
  • H.S. Diploma is required. Bachelor's Degree in Management, business administration, or related area is preferred.
  • Application with the Missouri Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician is required. Registration (completion) with the Missouri Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician is required.
  • 5 Years of healthcare financial operations, revenue cycle and/or business office experience Experience in the health care industry. Prior experience in Pharmacy and management Experience with EPIC and revenue cycle reporting experience Prior Epic Experience Proven leadership roles and responsibilities within Epic environment with proven successes in leading teams and implementing key initiatives.
