Summary
  • This position performs tasks directed towards the collection of patient information and its custodianship. Works as a trainer and provides instruction for Access Reps. and assist with providing customer service by helping to lead other Access Reps and provide input on individual Access Rep improvement.
  • This position works under the supervision of the Manager/Leader and is employed by Mosaic Health System.
Duties
  • Assists with Access Reps’ schedules, implementation of patient access processes, education and training of Access Reps.
  • Enters patient data into computer systems accurately and completely.
  • Assists providers in the completion of required entries, signatures and dictation for the medical record as identified during chart review. Keeps track of the location of the patient, medical record and staff at all times.
  • Performs patient scheduling and confirmation of patient appointments. Communicates with patients regarding appointments, completion of insurance forms, medical releases and other documentation.
  • Assures confidentiality of information regarding patients, hospital personnel and medical staff.
  • Attends departmental meetings/in-services.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, GED or HiSET equivalent. Higher levels of education preferred.
  • Minimum one-year experience in a physician’s office. Computer data entry, customer service, collections and medical record responsibility experience preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
