Position Title Early College Academy Coordinator
Job Description
The Early College Academy (ECA) Coordinator serves MoWest’s ECA program by managing the enrollment management programs and monitoring the applications and approvals each semester. The coordinator monitors department expenditures and budgets, academic components, and develops and reviews the ECA procedures annually. Assists with accreditation and reports as necessary. Provides support and guidance for key partners, and may coordinate a variety of on and off-campus events related to student recruitment and advisement.

Potential to supervise student employees and part-time employees.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  • Manages and monitors academic components (syllabi, textbooks, grades, student evaluations, etc.); assists with accreditation components and reports.
  • Manages enrollment management programs (Banner and SLATE) and monitors the application and approvals (course, parent, counselor) each semester.
  • Works in tandem with ECA Director to implement long-term vision and program sustainability through procedures, policies, expenditures, and budgets.
  • Serves as liaison between the ECA and on-campus stakeholders (Registrar, Business Office, and Admissions)
  • Coordinates professional development and workshops for ECA partners
  • Travels to local and regional high schools to aid in text book delivery, advising enrollments, and necessary training with support from ECA Assistant and ECA Director as needed.
  • Oversees ECA office and serves as point of contact for ECA stakeholders through communication efforts.
  • Assists in multiple software systems that track student billing, student records, enrollment, and grades.
  • Maintains a complex filing system of records (physical and online), correspondence, minutes etc.
  • Coordinates and assists in administration of activities, workshops, and special events related to the Early College Academy.
  • May compose confidential and non-confidential correspondence, and reports.
  • Reviews on-campus calendars and events.
  • Serves on campus committees as needed.
  • Performs other duties of a similar nature or level

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • An understanding of registration/enrollment, and billing procedures
  • An understanding of high school and university cultures as it relates to marketing and multiple audiences
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong and versatile computer skills and management of multiple platforms
  • Organized to coordinate and manage large recruitment events
  • Communication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, key stakeholders, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.
  • Attention to detail
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • A minimum of two (2) years working in an educational environment (K-12 or higher education)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree
  • Experience with Banner and/or SLATE
  • Technology forward
Physical Demands
  • Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
FLSA Exempt
Additional Demands
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license in order to travel to high schools
  • Some nights and travel work may be required
Hours of Work
Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
