Position Title Admissions Recruitment Coordinator
Job Description
Missouri Western State University (MWSU) is actively seeking an energetic, positive, self-driven, organized individual to fill a full-time Admissions Recruitment Coordinator position with our Admissions team. This position will be based out of the Missouri Western campus. This position works year-round, and is eligible for a comprehensive benefits package. Admissions Recruitment Coordinators are responsible for creating a positive and exciting impression of MWSU for prospective students and their parents. They provide a personalized touch to the enrollment efforts of the University by supplying admissions information to prospective students. This includes not only admissions requirements, but also details about academic programs and degrees, aspects of student life, and information about financial aid. Additionally, they serve as University representatives at various recruiting events and locations. Each Recruitment Coordinator is assigned a geographic area to represent.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  • Manages and meets target goals within a recruiting territory. This requires making contact and developing relationships with counselors, visiting high schools and community colleges, attending athletic and other high school and community related events and helping students make the transition from high school to college.
  • Communicates with students in person and via email, phone calls, and texting.
  • Aids in review and development of internal and external correspondence and promotional materials and keeps apprised of competitors’ materials.
  • Recruits students from all backgrounds, including non-traditional students and transfer students.
  • Assists with on-campus recruitment and orientation events.
  • Attends day, night, and weekend college fairs throughout the recruitment cycle.
  • Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Valid Drivers License
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of MWSU programs/services, and experience conducting high school visits, college fairs and/or campus tours.
  • One year of experience in student recruiting or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties.

  • Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects

Hours of Work
M-F 8:00am-4:30pm
