Position Title Marketing Coordinator
Job Description
The Marketing Coordinator works with the Marketing & Communications team to write and edit content for a variety of projects (including print, web, mobile, video, and social media), working closely with team members to brainstorm ideas, develop concepts, and articulate messaging. The Marketing Coordinator creates engaging and compelling copy to ensure that the university communicates effectively to all relevant audiences to enhance the university’s reputation and increase brand awareness.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  • Write and edit copy for a variety of audiences across multiple platforms, including, but not limited to, prospective students and their families, employees, alumni, and donors, ensuring that the university’s brand standards are maintained. 
  • Conduct thorough research and interviews.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to execute marketing and communications strategies.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of communications and industry trends.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and Google Workspace
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience with project management
  • Organized thinker with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Thrive in a fast-pasted, collaborative environment with high-volume workload often requiring short turnaround times
  • Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work as well as concentrate on multiple tasks simultaneously
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, or a related field
  • Proofreading experience and familiarity with standard style guides
  • Must have some marketing experience
  • A valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
Physical Demands
  • Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
FLSA Exempt
Additional Demands
  • May require some night and weekend hours.
