Description

Join Boehringer Ingelheim’s global Infrastructure Application Integration team as an IT Integration Specialist & Key Account Integrator, based in Ridgefield, CT. In this strategic and collaborative role, you will represent IT Infrastructure as a Key Account in local business. You will be responsible for accelerating the adoption of Infrastructure technologies and services across Boehringer Ingelheim’s IT ecosystem, fostering collaboration between IT domains, and supporting high-impact projects with Infrastructure expertise to drive speed, sustainability, scalability, and innovation. Additionally, you will actively contribute to the Product Owner community, helping shape agile practices, share knowledge, and support the continuous evolution of product management within the infrastructure domain.

This person will work on site in Ridgefield, CT a minimum of 2-3 days per week.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Key Accounts – Internal Customer
      • Represent IT Infrastructure in local business units and initiatives.
      • Function as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for infrastructure-related topics (strong focus on US).
      • Translate business needs into IT demand and ensure alignment with global standards.
      • Build strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure Infrastructure services meet business expectations.
  • System Integration
      • Provide Infrastructure expertise in strategic and high-impact projects.
      • Ensure seamless integration of infrastructure products into business and IT projects.
      • Collaborate with architecture, product owners, and security teams to ensure efficiency, compliance, sustainability, and performance.
      • Support cross-functional initiatives that require Infrastructure alignment and technical coordination.
  • Continuous Improvement
      • Identify and initiate improvements in infrastructure processes and service delivery with the corresponding Product Owner.
      • Promote innovation and efficiency through automation and process optimization.
  • Upskilling & Enablement
      • Drive the adoption of Infrastructure technologies across other IT domains.
      • Support the upskilling of IT on Infrastructure capabilities.
      • Stay informed about emerging technologies and trends relevant to enterprise infrastructure.
      • Actively engage in the global Product Owner community to share insights, mentor peers, and promote agile practices.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Computer Science or MIS with a minimum of 4 years experience; or Bachelor degree in Computer Science, or MIS, or related field with a minimum of 2 years of experience; or a Master degree in Computer Science, MIS, with minimum 1 year of experience; or relevant Business or IT experience of minimum of 4 years.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of IT Infrastructure domains; networking, cloud services, virtualization, storage, identity & access management, and endpoint services.
  • Proven experience in IT service integration, key account management, or infrastructure-related project roles.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL Framework and Service Management
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn modern technologies and apply them in a business context.
  • High level of motivation and curiosity for emerging technologies and digital trends.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across cultures and functions.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and experience contributing to Product Owner communities
  • Good conceptual knowledge of a modern IT infrastructure required
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into business-relevant language and vice versa.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel annually abroad if needed for annual training / team meeting.

Eligibility Requirements:

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.

Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required).

Must be 18 years of age or older.

Compensation Data

This position offers a base salary typically between $75,000 and $147,000. The position may be eligible for a role specific variable or performance based bonus and or other compensation elements. For an overview of our benefits please click here.

Desired Skills, Experience and Abilities

  • Additional language capabilities are a plus. This person will interact with teams in the US, Argentina, Spain and Germany
  • Experience working in global, cross-functional teams and matrix organizations.
  • Experience with change management, training, or enablement initiatives is a strong plus.
  • Multiple years of professional experience in an international IT environment a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of technological developments on the IT market in the assigned area of expertise
