The Position

The Key Institutional Manager (KIM) plays a pivotal role in driving access to innovative therapies by acting as a strategic partner across the entire patient journey. This role goes beyond traditional sales, encompassing strategic account management, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure patients receive timely and optimal care from pre-hospital to in-hospital settings.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of strategic account plans for key institutions, aligning with business objectives and patient needs.
  • Map and manage institutional stakeholders across the continuum of care (pre-hospital, in-hospital, and post-discharge).
  • Identify and address institutional barriers to patient access and treatment initiation.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to healthcare professionals, institutional decision-makers, and care teams.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), hospital administrators, and referral networks.
  • Facilitate collaboration between institutions and external partners to streamline diagnosis, referral, and treatment pathways.

Requirements

  • Sales Rep with professional license (APM) or Health Care Professional (Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, or related fields).
  • Proven experience in pharmaceutical sales, preferably in specialty care or rare diseases.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare systems, institutional dynamics, and patient access processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strategic partnerships and influence across multiple stakeholders.

Desirable

  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and project management skills.
