Contribute to a culture of integrity and psychological safety by investigating concerns that impact the employee experience and workplace behavior. Global Legal & Compliance envisions to build up shared service capabilities for certain Legal & Compliance services. A strong focus of such shared services will be on planning and conducting internal investigations on potential misconduct regarding a number of defined Compliance areas as well as potential violations of the general level of ethical behavior as defined in Boehringer Ingelheim´s Code of Conduct.
Tasks and responsibilities
- Lead and support internal investigations with a strong focus on HR-related matters, including but not limited to workplace misconduct, discrimination, retaliation, and violations of the Code of Conduct.
- This role will conduct routine and complex in-depth end-to-end investigations of confidential and sensitive nature on potential violations, conduct analysis, prepare investigative reports and recommend CAPAs (Corrective and Preventive Actions), when applicable.
- Responsible for working with the Global Investigations Office and Corporate Functions to lead and conduct internal investigations and address compliance concerns across all business segments.
- In addition to the ongoing investigation service and advice to any investigation resource, the purpose of the role is to constantly improve and enhance the methodology of internal investigation.
Requirements
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in law, Business Administration or Psychology.
- Proven experience in handling sensitive HR investigations (e.g., harassment, bullying, conflicts of interest).
- Expertise in Interview and documentation skills.
- Experience in collaborate closely with Human Resources, Employee Relations, and Compliance teams to ensure thorough and fair resolution of people-related concerns.
- Strong communications abilities.
- Fluent in Portuguese and English (advanced level).
- Experience in multinational company with cross cultural environment (desirable).
