What you are responsible for:
• Coordinate and lead strategic CI initiatives focused on driving improvements at St Joseph Plant.
• Identification and successful completion of process improvement opportunities to advance your team, division, and Tyson as a whole
• Travel is variable for this role depending on what improvements you are making, but typically in the 75% range over the course of a year
REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Bachelor's degree; preferably in the field of Engineering or Business OR equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience:
5 plus years of demonstrated Continuous Improvement experience OR 5 plus years of leadership experience in a lean manufacturing environment AND preferred work towards Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
Communication Skills:
Ability to effectively engage people at all levels of the business; strong coaching and mentoring skills
Travel:
4 or less trips per year.
Specific Skills:
Strong Business acumen; Strong LEAN 5S and other Continuous Improvement skills; Strong process management background.
