We are looking for a Engineering Design Manager to oversee design projects from concept to completion, manage the drafting team, and ensure designs meet quality standards, budgets, and timelines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ability to manage a team and delegate work
  • Review existing designs to improve reliability and reduce manufacturing time
  • Develop, implement, and maintain engineering drawing standards
  • Manage Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and documentation control to maintain ISO certification
  • Plan and manage engineering projects, including scheduling and resource allocation
  • Provide technical engineering design assistance
  • Provide training support for engineering and drafting team
  • Maintain existing integration of BOM from 3D CAD software to ERP software
  • Collaborate with procurement and production teams
  • Communicate, develop, and source products with outside vendors
  • Perform data analysis and reporting using Google Sheets and/or Excel
  • Other duties as assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

  • Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment.
  • Requires frequent standing, bending or stooping for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to communicate by providing verbal/written feedback in a professional manner.
  • Normal range of hearing and vision.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • BS degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 5+ years’ experience in Manufacturing
  • Experience working in a ISO 9001 certified production facility preferred
  • Experience in AutoCAD, Inventor, Vault and NetSuite preferred
  • Experience with Bill of Materials preferred
  • Experience working in a fast-paced or multi-entity environment.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong organization skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to successfully complete a General Abilities Assessment and pass a post-offer background check, physical and drug screening.
