Summit Truck Bodies is looking for a Staff Accountant that will assist the Controller with Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Fixed Asset and Balance Sheet reconciliations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Entering financial data and transactions into the general ledger
- Review financial documents for accuracy and reconciling accounts
- Manage and process Accounts Payable transactions accurately and timely
- Maintain and reconcile Fixed Asset records, including depreciation and disposals
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Support financial reporting and audit activities
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide accounting support, resolve discrepancies and improve processes
- Analyzing financial data and providing financial recommendations
- Ensuring financial records comply with regulatory standards
- Assist in Financial Statement preparation
- Protects the organization's value by keeping information confidential
- Other duties as assigned
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL ABILITIES:
- Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment
- Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping, and stretching
- Ability to communicate by providing verbal/written feedback in a professional manner
- Normal range of hearing and vision
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (required)
- Valid Driver's License and MVR in good standing
- Minimum 2 years of accounting experience
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite (other ERP systems will be considered)
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles
- Familiarity with accounting for capital assets and depreciation schedules
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Experience working in a fast-paced or multi-entity environment
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong organization skills
- Ability to successfully complete a General Abilities Assessment and pass a post-offer background check, physical and drug screening
