ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to the following: (other duties may be assigned)
• Design, manage, and implement break/fixes for any issues that arise within laptop/desktop computers or IP production equipment
• Strong experience using Active Directory, GPO. Microsoft SQL would be a plus.
• Assist with application and desktop support, monitoring and maintaining all the Company’s computer systems
• Must be able to assist with design and implementation of production floor projects. This can require a fair amount of time on the production floor where we produce bacon. Forklifts, conveyors, slicers, smokehouses, and other industrial machines are present.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance.
• Working with the Maintenance Department collaborate on network hardware installation projects.
• Assist Information Services team with remote Windows support responsibilities
• Implement and follow best practices for networking department
• Serve as a Help Desk resource for resolving Windows, Cat System, or other system issues, both during and after regular working hours
• Create, maintain, and discover ways to automate any IT department processes leading to site consistency
• Ability to write routine daily activity reports and correspondence and develop project schedules.
• Special project work as needed. Other duties within the department as assigned.
• Act as backup to the IT Manager.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: 2 to 5 years of IT Help Desk and or IT repair experience; IT Technical Degree preferred. Minimum Associates a plus. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedures manuals, building/equipment drawings and schematics Certifications are desired such as to A+, Network +, Security+ or equivalent OTJ is acceptable.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Must be able to effectively communicate in English including reading, writing, and speaking. Bilingual in Spanish is desired

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form. Must be able to solve problems quickly and with good judgment

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to use computers and all standard programs used by the industry and the ability to learn and effective use all other computer programs that are or be made available
