Shift Schedule: Sunday-Thursday 11 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Purpose:
– The Fermentation Administrator – 3rd Shift is responsible for the operation and cleanliness of specialized equipment designed to produce fermented products.
Accountabilities:
– Work with department team to assure the production plan, schedule, and activities are coordinated to meet company requirements
– Balance quality, productivity, and safety to achieve results in all areas
– Work to continuously improve in all areas
– Safely operate a forklift as well as pass a certification test for its operation
– Work as a team member to meet departmental key performance indicators
– Assist in fermentation operations including but not limited to; sterile transfers, SIP/CIP and product harvesting
– Compliant with all chemical handling procedures/requirements
– Submit supply chain logs for safety, mechanical, or production issues
– Assist in facility maintenance and upkeep
– Assist in checklist updates as required
– Follow and perform daily checklists and inspections
– Complete in person quality checks
– Maintain a clean and orderly work area by keeping tools and equipment in proper places and all materials off the floor of the area
– Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
– Required Education: HS diploma
– Required Work Experience:
– 5 years of experience in manufacturing in an industrial/manufacturing environment desired
– Experience in equipment maintenance and operability
– Experience in scheduling, operations procedures development, training, and personnel development
– Fermentation Operations
– Ability to pass a written and driving exam to prove capability of safely operating a forklift
– Experience using Microsoft Office programs such as Word (to write business correspondence), Excel (for use of spreadsheets, reporting, simple formulas) and Outlook (for internal and external correspondence)
– General safety understanding of chemicals, SDS, etc.
– Physically able to lift and move 50lb. on a regular reoccurring basis
– Willing and able to wear the necessary Personal Protection equipment (PPE) (i.e. hard hats, safety glasses, face shield, chemical suit, respirator, ear plugs, hearing protection, steel-toe boots or safety shoes and other PPE required by specific jobs)
– Willing and able to work off hours, overtime, weekends, and holidays, as needed
