The district construction and materials engineer provides district-wide oversight, technical expertise and quality assurance of district construction projects, materials inspections, and geotechnical operations. Responsibilities are performed under general supervision.

Responsibilities – What you’ll do
What you'll do:

Provides supervision and technical assistance to district resident engineers, materials staff, construction personnel, and geotechnical staff.
Provides quality assurance for district construction activities.
Serves as the district construction and materials representative during the project development process.
Serves as the external contact for the public and media and the internal contact for department customer service and community relations personnel regarding district construction activities.
Interprets project specifications for district construction and materials staff.

Qualifications – All you need for success
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university curriculum.
Licensed as a Professional Engineer in the State of Missouri.
Eight years of experience in highway or transportation engineering.
OSHA 10-Hour Certification required within 90 days.
Special Working Conditions

Job requires exposure to moderately adverse and undesirable environmental conditions.
This title requires advanced accreditation or licensure which is only available to holders of specific postsecondary degrees.
