Herzog Contracting Corp. is currently seeking a Marketing Intern in St. Joseph, MO to join our team. The Marketing Intern will work closely with the Marketing Department to support internal and external communication channels. The Marketing Intern will assist in activities as assigned which can include a mix of technical and creative writing for articles, announcements; social media content development; layout, design, and graphic production of printed and digital content; video and photography coordination; and development of internal and external promotional documents, flyers, and PowerPoint slide decks.

Duties and Responsibilities:

*This is a non-exhaustive overview of the job duties for this position.

-Write and edit such items as industry publication articles, newsletter stories, and other content as required.
-Collaborate on the development of both print and digital materials such as corporate brochures, advertisements, social media, and newsletters.
-Coordinate photography and videography needs within the Herzog organization including digital asset inventory and management.
-Prepare slide decks and other documents for internal and client presentations.
-Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite applications specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign preferred.
-Regular and consistent engagement, participation and promotion of Herzog’s Culture and its essential behaviors are a requirement for this position.
-Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality are a requirement for this position.
-Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

-Pursuing a degree in Marketing, English, Media Arts, or Marketing-related field or equivalent work experience.
-Strong writing skills and proofreading skills.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
-Organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven.
–Proven ability to work on multiple tasks or projects at various levels of completion.
-Ability to coordinate with outside agencies, photographers, printers, etc.”

Pre-Employment Requirements:

-Subject to pre-employment background check and motor vehicle report review.
-Subject to pre-employment physical, medical evaluation, and drug.
-Successfully complete and maintain any required safety certification and testing on an annual basis.
