Accounting Clerk

The ideal candidate will provide overall administrative support to the Financial Manager. To help facilitate financial transactions and human resources services to support Second Harvest Community Food Bank in the capture, handling, and distribution of food in the 19 counties we serve. To be a community advocate that hunger is unacceptable. To uphold and achieve success through our mission, vision, and values.
Primary Responsibilities
Provide support for all general accounting functions including accounts payable and accounts receivable
Support the Financial Manager with organizational audits, bi-weekly payroll and benefits plans
Conduct monthly bank and inventory reconciliations
Under the direction of the Financial Manger review and prepare monthly financial statements
Supply support to reporting work related to federal, state, local and private funding of organizational programs
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field preferred
Strong problem solving skills
Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong knowledge of accounting software and bookkeeping principles
