The Compliance Specialist plays an integral role in ensuring casino operations are meeting the requirements of both the state and federal regulators. With guidance from Corporate Compliance, this position will participate in various projects, including Title 31/Anti-Monday Laundering, Minimum Internal Controls, record keeping, interacting with casino personnel and gaming regulators, and preparing reports.

Expected Contributions Include (Other Duties May Be Assigned):

  1. Responsible for the daily Title 31 audits to ensure compliance with the BSA and State regulatory requirements.
  2. Maintenance of the property’s AML Title 31 training.
  3. Responsible for filing CTRs and SARs with FinCEN.
  4. Responsible for performing the monthly know your customer (KYC) procedure for the property.
  5. Maintain an organized system of record keeping for all applicable reports and documents.
  6. Utilize property reports and resources to identify and research potentially suspicious activity submitting Suspicious Activity Incident Reports (SAIRs) for AML related activities to the SAR Committee.
  7. Prepare and issue Exception Notices for instances of noncompliance with Title 31 procedures.
  8. Maintain a working knowledge of the regulations and requirements, for both gaming and AML.
  9. Ability to prioritize projects, adhere to deadlines, work independently, and use critical thinking to analyze data.
  10. Assist property Leadership to ensure regulatory compliance with MICS.
  11. In-person supplemental Suspicious Activity training for employees.
  12. Review and log reports and directives related to employee regulatory infractions.
  13. Assist property leadership with licensing renewals for both gaming and non-gaming.
  14. Ensure the property is in compliance with all aspects of Responsible Gaming
  15. Assist the General Manager with property submission for quarterly Compliance Committee meetings
  16. Perform Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) using open source searches and third-party providers such as LexisNexis.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below represent knowledge, skill, and/or ability.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Gaming experience or working in an industry with reporting responsibilities to state or federal regulators is preferred.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Missouri Gaming License.
