Position Summary

As a Specialist Electro-Mechanical II, you will be responsible for applying basic electrical and electronic principles in the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of the plant electrical and controls equipment. You will work with maintenance personnel to assist in electrical and controls troubleshooting.

**The schedule for this position could be day or night shift. We would need you to be willing to work either based on the needs of the company. This could also include weekends.

  • Understand how PLC’s, VFD’s, transformers, three-phase motors and controls programming components work.
  • Remain proficient with the operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of industrial electrical control systems, electromechanical systems, and fluid power.
  • Properly use mechanical and electrical tools and diagnostic instruments.
  • Understand the operating principles and function of the electrical control and power components and circuits used in automated equipment.
  • Size components and wire industrial control circuits based on appropriate industry standards.
  • Ability to read and redline electrical prints and documentations.
  • Demonstrate the use of OSHA safety standards in servicing equipment.
  • Work independently and collaboratively in small teams to maintain equipment and solve technical problems.
  • Effectively communicate technical information through writing and speaking.
  • Utilize technical vocabulary and interpret graphics and data applicable to the area of electrical and mechanical systems maintenance.
  • Remain proficient at utilizing computerized maintenance management systems.
  • Be willing to attend educational opportunities as required to perform job functions which includes travel when necessary.
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties as directed by supervision.

Requirements

  • High School or GED Equivalent and 2+ years of industrial electrical or controls experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, military, or related environment required.

OR

  • AS Degree in electrical, mechatronics or related field

The approximate hourly pay for this position is $35.80 plus shift differential. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location of the position.
