Summary
  • This position performs scans using radiofrequencies within a magnetic field to produce images of bones, organs, and soft tissue. They also prepare and administer contrast agents to obtain some images. This position can work in various clinical environments, such as the hospital or diagnostic imaging centers.
  • This position works under the supervision of the Manager and is employed by Mosaic Health Systems.
Duties
  • Interpret a provider's instructions.
  • Screen patients for safety prior to entering zone 4.
  • Explain MRI procedures to patients.
  • Prepare patients for procedures.
  • Select software options and imaging parameters when adjusting an MRI machine.
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • All required education is a minimum requirement. Higher levels of education are acceptable. Completion of Radiologic Technology program required.
  • AART(R) - American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists required, MRI - Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist must be obtained within one (1) year of hire, and BCLS - Basic Life Support required.
  • Three (3) Years experience required.
