Details Clinical Training/Project Coordinator - AHEC AHEC/Rural Scholars Program Full Time Status Day Shift Pay: $20.35 - $29.51 / hour Summary This position coordinates clinical rotations for nurse practitioner and nurse education students. This position also identifies and schedules appropriate preceptors for the students. Works with APRN Leadership Council regarding APRN student programs. This position AND Clinical Training Coordinator identify and develop, along with the Executive Director and Medical Director, clinical training sites and the necessary affiliation agreements. This position interacts with medical and administrative staff, educational institutions, health care profession students, and other community representatives throughout Missouri. This position is also responsible for entering clinical rotation data into APEX, the Missouri AHEC statewide database, on all clinical training students and tracking student progress from health professions student to practicing provider. In addition, the Clinical Training/Project Coordinator - AHEC shares management of the AHEC Scholars program with the Health Professions Coordinator. This position is employed by by Mosaic Health Systems. Duties Serves as the point of contact for Nurse Practitioner and Nurse Education students desiring to schedule rotations in northwest Missouri. The Clinical Training/Project Coordinator-AHEC and applicable schools communicate regarding rotations, requirements such as immunizations, background checks, liability insurance, affiliation agreements, etc to ensure all information is provided prior to the arrival of the student on site, meeting the requirements of Mosaic Life Care. Keeps complete files on students for review by regulatory/governing bodies as requested. For nurse practitioner students, works with the APRN Leadership Council on the student and preceptor approval process, accepted accredited programs, and student or preceptor issues that arise. Along with the Clinical Training Coordinator, Executive Director and AHEC Medical Director, identifies, develops, and supports preceptor relationships in Northwest Missouri in the provision of clinical training opportunities for discipline-specific, multi-and interdisciplinary training of undergraduate and graduate health profession students. Identify additional preceptors continuously, complying with the appropriate preceptor approval process of each school. Secure, support, and oversee proposed and existing training sites and activities including education needs and electronic resources. Works with the Clinical Training Coordinator to maintain a system to monitor health profession students completing rotations in the NWMO AHEC region and maintains contact with students to assess career choices and practice locations. Develops and maintains relationships between NWMO AHEC and appropriate professional programs. Other duties as assigned Qualifications All required education is a minimum requirement. Higher levels of education are acceptable. Bachelor's degree in related field required. Driver's License - Valid And In State required. 2 Years experience with either a not–for-profit organization, a grant-dependent organization or a higher education setting
