Summary
  • This position assists the Director of Regulatory in the assistance with regulatory submission, annual reports, registrations, and listings and assures compliance with applicable health care regulations, guidance, and standards. The specialist will assist in the creation and maintenance of regulatory files, survey preparedness, survey execution, and survey remediation plans. The specialist will also assist stakeholders and the Director in the review, drafting, and updating of all hospital policies and procedures. This position is employed by Mosaic Life Care.
Duties
  • Writes, analyzes, and edits documents to support regulatory submissions and complete submissions in a format consistent with applicable guidance documents.
  • Maintains regulatory files. Will assure that appropriate maintenance of all regulatory reports, corrective plans and regulatory filings as required by law.
  • Serves as the organizational liaison for all external regulatory agencies, facilitating communication and on-site survey activities.
  • Works closely with the Patient Safety Director to ensure patient safety issues are appropriately addressed e.g. national Patient Safety Goals.
  • Collaboratively Coordinates measurement and reporting of regulatory, quality, and patient safety performance (e.g. Patient Safety Scorecard, Process Scorecard).
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • All required education is a minimum requirement. Higher levels of education are acceptable. Associate's degree is required. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure And/Or Compact State Licensure is required.
  • 5 Years of Clinical experience in a hospital/health care setting of progressively responsible experience in a healthcare environment, including experience in varied clinical activities, infection control and regulatory compliance is required.
