Summary
  • This position works with caregivers to perform analytical, technical, and administrative work in End User Computing. Responsible for support and resolution of trouble issues with technical documentation.
  • This position works under the direction of the Help Desk Manager and is employed by Mosaic Health Systems.
Duties
  • Aids end-users with the installation, configuration, and ongoing usability of supported computing platforms, peripheral devices and software within established standards and guidelines. This involves problem recognition, research, isolation, resolution and follow-up steps.
  • Able to assist users over the telephone, through email, online chat and/or at the desk side in a prompt, professional and courteous manner.
  • If necessary to resolve problems, coordinates resolution with the appropriate internal/external personnel. May require travel to an on-site/off-site location to achieve problem resolution.
  • Uses a ticket management system or tracking system for obtaining and thoroughly documenting all pertinent information in the diagnosis and resolution of reported issue.
  • Performs some domain Administration such as account management and giving groups and users required rights to perform their job. Others administrative tasks include, but are not limited to: adding, moving and deleting users from a group; checking rights of users; resetting passwords; disabling accounts.
  • Maintains a high level of proficiency in hardware, software, networking and other technologies related to Information technology.
  • Under general supervision, performs analytical, technical and administrative work in the planning, design and installation of new and existing personal computer systems, including hardware, software and peripherals.
  • Confers with customers to determine types of hardware and software required.
  • Demonstrates the ability in communication, both oral and written, under potentially adverse situations with a focus on customer service and satisfaction.
  • Builds and maintains a knowledge base real-time while solving problems. Analyzes, organizes, and distributes these solutions to customers and other IT analysts for problem solving.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required. Bachelor's or Associate's preferred.
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+ within 180 days of hire is preferred. Microsoft, HP, Lenovo, Apple Macintosh certifications preferred.
  • Hospital background to properly understand the interrelationship of the various hospital departments and technologies used in those departments is preferred. Clinical process knowledge and consultative skills is also preferred.
