Summary

Mosaic Life Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our expert Nephrology team at our St. Joseph facility. Nephrology offers a unique and rewarding experience, with dialysis serving as a life-saving treatment for patients with a wide range of conditions and contributing factors. The specialty provides a dynamic and varied daily schedule, as physicians work across multiple environments including the hospital, dialysis unit, clinic, and post-transplant care. Additionally, the field fosters a cooperative, engaging, and educational atmosphere, creating both a supportive and enjoyable work environment.

The team currently provides outreach services at DaVita Dialysis Clinics in St. Joseph, Robidoux, and Chillicothe. The team provides outreach specialty clinics at Maryville and Atchison and additionally provide Telehealth services with Harrison County Community Hospital.

NP Requirements:

  • Successful completion of an APRN master’s nursing degree
  • Current Missouri license preferred or the ability to obtain licensure

Additional Qualifications:

  • Possess ability to work independently/autonomously and interdependently with other health care professionals
  • Have extensive patient assessment skills using diagnostic methods and instruments with the ability to develop appropriate plan of care, modifying as indicated
  • Possess effective communication skills and interpersonal skills with patients, families, and members of the health care team
Qualifications
  • Successful completion of a CNS or APRN master’s degree in a nursing program in the specialty area or must demonstrate successful completion of a formal post-graduate track or accredited program (within the specialty area) within a school of nursing granted graduate-level academic credit (e.g. graduate, non-matriculating program)
  • Licensed in state of Missouri or Kansas, depending upon designated work location. Must be currently certified by a nationally recognized certifying body acceptable to the Missouri or Kansas State Board of Nursing as well as hold and maintain a current Document of Recognition
