Summary
  • This position is the patient care team member who performs tasks, which are directed towards the patient's information management. Works as the receptionist for the nursing unit and performs clerical duties to support patient care decision-making.
  • This position Works under the supervision of the nursing Director and is employed by Mosaic Life Care.
Duties
  • Enters caregivers’ patient and room assignments into the phone (Voalte) and call light ( Ascom) systems.
  • Creates paper charts for new patients and reviews patient charts for accuracy and completeness.
  • Receives and relays information to nursing staff, patients, family members and visitors by acting as a communication liaison.
  • Orders miscellaneous supplies for assigned units.
  • Assists with the informal on the job teaching of new caregivers.
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • All required education is a minimum requirement. Higher levels of education are acceptable. High School diploma required.
  • 4 weeks training (includes classroom and on the job experience) required
  • Experience in a health care setting preferred.
