Details Provider Compensation Manager Provider Compensation Full Time Status Day Shift Summary The Manager of Provider Compensation is responsible for the full payroll cycle for Mosaic Health Systems physicians, advanced practice providers (APPs), and all system employees. Reporting directly to the Clinic President with close alignment to the Finance Team, this position will manage the entire Physician and APPs in an accurate and timely manner. This position will partner with Mosaic Life Care's leadership teams, operation teams within each service line, the physician recruitment team, legal and compliance, the contracting team, and the finance team to propose, implement and assess the impact of physician compensation models that are created to align with service line and health system goals. This role will ensure compliance with Federal and State wage / hour, tax, employment, and Stark laws demonstrating a strong attention to detail and accuracy. This position works under the supervision of the Clinic President and is employed by Mosaic Health System. Duties Design, recommend, communicate, and direct staff on the implementation of compensation models and programs for existing and future Physician / APP contracts. Review reconciliation of monthly / quarterly / yearly physician compensation data, calculations, reports and WRVU reconciliations. Establish and maintain, in conjunction with the Finance Team, proper internal controls over provider payroll practices. Evaluate and monitor the effectiveness of existing compensation policies, procedures, and guidelines. Manage the implementation of process improvement initiatives that result in the high reliability of provider compensation plans. Partner with other business units to analyze and recommend proposals for business decision making as it relates to provider compensation. Serves as subject matter expert, along with provider compensation analyst staff, for all provider compensation arrangements and provider compensation exhibits. Effectively communicates information to providers, leaders and various organizational oversight committees to ensure understanding of compensation programs and initiatives. Supports the maintenance and implementation of data integrity tools used in the reporting, administration, and decision-making in provider compensation and system payroll. Lead a team to support the modeling and development of provider compensation plans and system payroll to meet organizational Guiding Principles and initiatives. Maintain provider compensation and system payroll staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, mentoring, and evaluating employees. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions. Qualifications All required education is a minimum requirement. Higher levels of education are acceptable. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field required. Master's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field preferred. Experience with increasing responsibility for physician compensation analysis, model design, implementation, experience managing payroll processes, people management, data entry management, reporting skills, compensation and wage structure, employment law, developing standards, financial skills, and accounting, and strong knowledge of payroll processes and relevant legal regulations required.
