Summary
  • This position accepts responsibility for direction of technicians in implementation of tests and procedures. Assist in maintaining Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) accreditation. Performs non-invasive ultrasound diagnostic procedures on the heart.
  • This position works under the supervision of the Director and is employed by Mosaic Health System.
Duties
  • Perform echocardiographic studies including stress echo, TEE, and contrast echo studies.
  • Analyzes sonographic findings throughout the course of examination so that a comprehensive exam is completed and sufficient data is provided to the physician to direct patient management and render a final diagnosis.
  • Prepares and performs various tests including all treadmills.
  • Assesses patient charts and prepares worksheet for interpreting physician, i.e. history and physical.
  • Performs patient assessments as it relates to diagnostic ultrasound procedure.
Qualifications
  • Successful completion of accredited Cardiac Ultrasound program and equivalent work experience paired with ARDMS or CCI Registered Cardiac Sonographer is required.
  • RCS - Registered Cardiac Sonographer or ARDCS - Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer is required upon hire. Clinical\BCLS - Basic Life Support is required within 90 days upon hire. ACS-Advanced Cardiac Sonographer upon hire is preferred.
  • Two years experience in performing echocardiograms, TEE, and stress echocardiograms is required.
