Details CNA/PCA - Med/Surg - Float Pool/CRU CRU Full Time Status Day Shift Pay: $18.01 - $26.11 / hour Summary This position will work under the direction of an RN, LPN and/or Provider. Will administer quality patient care according to established standards in multiple specialized nursing units as assigned on a daily basis according to standards. May cover extended leaves of absence and/or excessive vacancies. Opportunities may include the ability to work from 2 to 6 weeks on a unit then rotate to another unit. May be required to work on multiple units including Medical/Surgical, Orthopedic, Oncology, Overflow, Behavioral Annex, Rapid Observation, Step-Down, ICU and LTACH. Will provide exceptional service to all patients, visitors plus external and internal customers. Will be adaptable and competent to an assignment on a Medical-Surgical, Step-Down Unit and/or ICU. This position will work under the supervision of a Director and Associate Director and is employed by Mosaic Health System. Duties Assists patients with Activities of Daily Living i.e. personal hygiene, dressing, linen change, etc. Feeding patients as indicated; records food and fluid intake and output when appropriate. Takes and records vital signs including pulse oximetry. Transports patients as appropriate. Lifts, turns, repositions and ambulates patients, alone or with assistance. Collects and transports specimens for testing when assigned; completes Point of Care testing. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications All required education is a minimum requirement. Higher levels of education are acceptable. High School Diploma required. PCA education requirements: a. an Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP) training program in the last three years, or b. a fundamentals of nursing course, or c. a certified nursing assistant program with obtainment of certification (C.N.A.), or d. a graduate of a professional or practical nursing program who did not pass the state licensure examination in the past three years or e. A graduate of a professional or practical nursing program outside the United States and awaiting licensure in this country Clinical\BCLS - Basic Life Support within 90 Days is required. Non Violent Crisis Prevention Intervention CPI 90 Days And Any other training required by the organization within 90 days is required. In lieu of certification/licensure listed above, documented experience working as a nurse assistant in an inpatient setting in the past three years will qualify for this position. 1 Year Experience as a nurse assistant in an inpatient setting, as well as in Home Health, 6 months of Hospital/Nursing Home experience.
