Summary
  • The Cardiovascular Technologist works under the supervision of Director. The Cardiovascular Technologist is responsible for direct and indirect patient care, properly documenting all chronologically procedural events, analytical calculations, medications, equipment set up and operation, and instrumentation. Assists the physician during sterile procedures and assumes responsibility for completion of other functions as assigned. This position is employed by Mosaic Life Care.
Duties
  • Assists provider with cardiovascular procedures by scrubbing, and/or first assisting to achieve optimal patient care.
  • Maintains knowledge/expertise of all cardiovascular procedures and team functions, of instruments and supplies used for electrophysiology and interventional cardiovascular vascular procedures, and to provide input for equipment purchase and maintain a cost-effective inventory.
  • Maintains and monitors aseptic technique to reduce risk of surgical site infection as well as contamination of peers.
  • Other duties as assigned per professional licensure
Qualifications
  • Successful completion of ARRT, RCIS, EMT, LPN or RN is required. Associate's Degree is preferred.
  • Clinical\RCIS - Registered Cardio Invasive Specialist OR Radiology\ARRT - Radiology Tech License OR Clinical\EMT - Emergency Medical Tech preferred. Clinical\BCLS - Basic Life Support AND Clinical\ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support required.
  • 2 Years In lieu of above, working in Cath Lab, OR, or Special Procedures is required.
