Summary
  • This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and supervises patient care by following established standards and practices for nursing care and accepts responsibility for direction of the nursing staff in the implementation of patient care.
  • This position works under the supervision of Clinic Manager and under the direction of the provider and is employed by Mosaic Health System.
Duties
  • Greets and prepares patient for provider examination and treatment. Performs general nursing care to patients. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards.
  • Review medical charts for completeness. Documents all medications, refills, telephone conversations and patient visits in the medical record.
  • Assigns patients and assesses nursing staffing during personnel call-ins, low workload, or staffing emergencies. Assists with patient assignment to provide skill level needed to care for patients.
  • Communicates with Clinic Manager and Medical Director to advise of any medical, nursing, risk management or patient satisfaction issues. Attempts to resolve these issues where appropriate.
  • Evaluates nurses yearly for competencies and performance on clinical skills.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of school of nursing required, BSN preferred.
  • Licensed in State of Missouri or Kansas, depending upon designated work location. If operating a motor vehicle for business purposes, must have a valid driver’s license. BLS certification required within 90 days from start date.
  • Two years nursing experience, one-year supervisory experience preferred.
