Summary
  • Teaches and performs Clinical Radiology procedures with students of the Radiologic Technology program. Orchestrates hands on training with equipment, with patient exams, imaging critique, evaluations and patient positioning classes.
  • This position works under the supervision of the Team Leader and ATL in Radiology and is employed by Mosaic Health System.
Duties
  • Instructs students in a competency based clinical education program in accordance with the essentials and guidelines of the Joint Review Committee instructing students in both classroom and clinical settings.
  • Assists students with procedures. Explains procedures to patients/students. Performs sterile tray set up with students as needed.
  • Maintains student modality schedules.
  • Performs and instructs Clinical Diagnostic Radiology procedures following Radiation safety measures, labeling all images correctly, and hands on demonstration with students, emphasizing right things right.
  • Functions as a preceptor. Assists new hires in the department, assuring all computer training is accomplished.
Qualifications
  • Completion of a Radiology Technology program.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technology. BLS or Heartsaver certification required.
  • Two years full time experience in Radiology. Teaching experience preferred; computer skills required.
