Summary

  • The Clinical Strategic Sourcing Specialist works under the supervision of the Director of Supply Chain Operations, maintaining a business advocate role to support Mosaic Life Care. The role demonstrates the ability to negotiate complex business and legal contractual terms, exhibit competence with data and financial analytics, audit agreements, review initiatives for future purchasing challenges, and develop relationships both internally and externally. In this position, the Clinical Specialist will lead Value Analysis Teams to properly maximize GPO compliance, standardize, and show high performance of products with cost effectiveness while managing clinical supplies and assets keeping quality and safety at the forefront. Basic responsibilities include capital planning, sourcing, price negotiation, establish and manage supply and service contracts, critical thinking, and collaboration.
  • This position works under the supervision of the Director of Supply Chain Operations and is employed by Mosaic Health Systems.

Duties

  • Be the enterprise expert for all clinical supply market categories, develop and implement sourcing strategies for business requirements and managing the corporate portfolio of suppliers.
  • Analyze supply price and utilization history while preparing recommendations for opportunities to stakeholders focusing on achieving lower supply cost while improving quality.
  • Serve as a lead negotiator, sourcing expert, contract specialist, auditor and consultant for clinical categories leading all commercial negotiations.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • H.S. Diploma or H.S. Equivalent AND a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Nursing, RN, or Equivalent is required. Master's Degree in Business, Nursing, or Equivalent is preferred.
  • 5 years strong experience in Procurement, Supply Chain and Purchasing within a multi-facility health system network is required. 5 years knowledge of Supply Chain concepts and relate best practices are preferred.
