Details Community Health Line Nurse Contact Center - Clinical Full Time Status Variable Shift Pay: $25.08 - $40.13 / hour Summary This position is responsible for the delivery, management, and coordination of care and services provided via telecommunications technology within the domain of nursing. Telehealth nursing encompasses all types of nursing care and services delivered across distances encompassing practices that incorporate a vast array of telecommunications technologies (such as telephone, fax, electronic mail, Internet, video monitoring, interactive video) to remove time and distance barriers for the delivery of nursing care. This position will promote and provide information for Disease Management Programs and act as a vehicle for two-way communication to patients, their caregivers, and their chosen physicians. This position will recommend a fiscally responsible care setting that is based on clinical needs and established protocols. This position is employed by Mosaic Health System. Duties Maintains the organization’s standards of nursing care in accordance with policies and procedures. Through the nursing process, using specific protocols and established resources: Collects specific data and records information in data base/documentation form, assesses the client’s condition, provides accurate consistent information, formulates and recommends a plan of care, and validates the care plan with the client for completeness and accuracy. Renders sound clinical recommendation based on ability to assess and prioritize clinical needs as presented through telephonic interview. Is competent in recognizing the gravity of a particular health care problem and able to act upon urgent medical problems while providing safe, effective and appropriate care. Works collaboratively with other team members as required in developing and implementing the plan of care. Demonstrates a high degree of clinical expertise for primary care, patient education and competence in utilization of the nursing process. Reports pertinent observation and reactions regarding clients to the appropriate person (i.e. supervisor, department director, and provider). Acts in the role of client and family advocate assisting them through the health care system. Answers inquiries regarding physicians on the medical staff and questions about the organization’s services. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications All required education is a minimum requirement. Higher levels of education are acceptable. Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing required. BSN preferred. RN - Registered Nurse - Missouri State Licensure And/Or Compact State Licensure and Kansas nursing licensure (only if current is not compact) required. 3 years emergency department experience, ambulatory nursing, critical care or medical surgical nursing and broad base of nursing experience including but not limited to: Obstetrical, Pediatric, Nursery, and Orthopedic required. Previous telephone consultation experience and multilingual skills preferred.
