  • Pay: $20.64 - $33.02 / hour
  • This position cares for patients under direction of nursing and medical staff by performing the primary duties according to established standards.
  • This position works under the supervision of the Director of Emergency Services or designee, and is employed by Mosaic Life Care.
Duties
  • Transports patients to rooms as appropriate. Assists with patient disrobing, takes vital signs and pulse oximetry, applies cardiac monitors. Transports patients and families to other departments and units as designated.
  • Collects and transports patient specimens including blood, urine, stool and sputum samples.
  • Performs point of care testing including quality controls and instrument maintenance.
  • Performs EKG’s and uploads into EMR.
  • Restocks supplies, SPD equipment, linens and logs in all areas in Emergency Department. Responsible for oxygen tank replacement (checking, replacing in department, and changing out).
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Degree from an accredited school of practical nursing is required. Currently enrolled in RN program with expected date of completion within 2 years of hire is required.
  • Certification Requirement within 90 days are required. LPNIV - Lpn Iv Cert within the state of Missouri or Kansas, depending upon designated work location is required.
  • In lieu of “a” through “e” above in the Education section, documented experience working for one year as a nurse assistant in an inpatient setting, emergency medical technician or surgical tech in the past three years will qualify for this position is required. 1 year of Emergency Department experience is preferred.
