Summary
  • Candidates residing in the following states will be considered for remote employment: Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, Nebraska, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah, and Virginia. Remote work will not be permitted from any other state at this time.
  • This position is responsible for coordinating PFS initiatives, facilitating process improvement, and providing value-added support to PFS leadership, including cultivating strong working relationships between various departments and staff members to promote a collaborative environment. Assignments and oversight for the position will come primarily from the PFS Manager. The incumbent will work with PFS management to assist in developing and reinforcing effective business practices within medical billing, insurance follow up, denials/appeals, and/or payment validation.
  • This position is employed by Mosaic Life Care.
Duties
  • Collaborates with PFS manager to map existing processes, facilitate process improvement, assist with readiness assessments, assists with identifying and creating approaches to implement change and/or updates, suggesting necessary resources, and identifying necessary actions to complete projects. Assists with oversight into development plans and execution of plans to improve standards and departmental processes throughout assigned PFS teams.
  • Serves as “project manager” on projects such as PFS initiatives and on-going staff training/education to be provided to multiple PFS teams. This includes but is not limited to: one-on-one and group caregiver training meetings and educational group meetings.
  • Maintains continuity of work operations by coordinating, assessing, documenting and communicating needed actions to management, identifying irregularities, and documenting continuing needs. Serves as a communication point for PFS caregivers, other departments, and PFS management.
  • Provides frequent communication through status updates, reports, and project summaries to PFS manager; at the direction of the PFS Manager, creates and delivers presentations as needed.
  • Collaborates with other departments within revenue cycle to validate payer contract information is correctly loaded within the software system and that the payers are reimbursing per their contracted rates.
Qualifications
  • H.S. Diploma is required. Associate's Degree is preferred.
  • 2-5 years of non-clinical healthcare experience in revenue cycle is required.
