Details Director of IT Business Operations IT Transformation Plan & Gov Full Time Status Day Shift Summary The Director of IT Business Operations is responsible for leading strategic initiatives, overseeing IT governance, managing vendor relationships, optimizing IT business operations, and leading IT project, program, and portfolio management. The role will act as a strategic partner to the senior IT leadership team. The director will align IT strategies with business objectives, fostering innovation, and ensuring efficient resource utilization across the entire IT department. The role will track and measure IT performance and will be responsible for developing and managing the IT performance scorecard. The director will work closely with the executive team and collaborate with operational leaders from clinical and non-clinical functions. This position is employed by Mosaic Health System. Duties Lead the prioritization, planning, tracking and execution of I&T projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope and budget, and in alignment with business needs. Lead I&T governance processes, proving expertise in technology prioritization, value creation and the formulation of policies, standards, and guidelines to ensure compliance and risk mitigation. Design and implement comprehensive IT performance and benchmarking reporting mechanisms, establishing KPIs, and presenting key metrics and insights to senior leadership for informed decision-making. Provide leadership and mentoring to fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and collaboration to achieve departmental and organizational goals. Continuously identify opportunities to optimize IT processes and workflows, enhancing efficiency, reducing operational costs, driving quality improvements and operational excellence. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, senior management, and executives to communicate IT initiatives, progress, and challenges, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Lead change management efforts related to IT initiatives, fostering a smooth transition, and minimizing disruption to Mosaic’s business operations. Facilitates timely and informed decision making by providing guidance and support to IT governance processes. Develop and manage frameworks to optimize IT resources, including staff, tools, and technologies, to achieve maximum operational efficiency and effectiveness. Lead and organize annual IT ideation, planning, and governance to define, align and prioritize opportunities for leveraging IT to enable Mosaic’s strategic and operational objectives. Proactively investigate industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices recommending innovative solutions to enhance IT capabilities across all domains. Partners with IT leadership, finance, and HR business partners to lead budget planning for the IT department. Develop and implement a strategic vendor management framework to effectively establish, manage and optimize IT contractual agreements. Establish and cultivate strategic relationships with technology vendors and partners to facilitate effective procurement, negotiation, and collaboration. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, System Analysis or a related field of study required. 10 Years Information technology management AND 5 Years Business experience in strategic and operations planning and/or business analysis required. 5 Years Large program management experience with a PMP certification (or graduate-level certificate) AND Strong program management skills with experience managing and delivering complex and critical programs AND Leadership experience in managing multiple, large, cross-functional teams or projects, and influencing senior level management and key stakeholders required. Experience using Scrum methodologies (Scrum Master certification preferred) lean six sigma best practices (Lean Six Sigma green belt certification preferred) preferred.
