Summary
  • This position serves as a steward of the resources (human, financial and otherwise) provided by Mosaic Life Care Foundation. As a servant leader, the person in this position serves others while staying focus on achieving results in line with the organization’s values and integrity. This position collaborates with the emPowerU Team to focus on success-building assets to assure that every child has the resources needed to prepare them to be healthy, resilient, and responsible adults. Assumes supportive role to put the emPowerU program into practice and support young people, adults and consortium partners in learning from each other the meaning of citizenship and empowerment. Serves as a key member of the emPowerU Team- shaping and stewarding the Foundation’s vision and mission: champion education and empower people.
  • This position works under the supervision of the Manager - emPowerU in a collaborative, team environment and is employed by Mosaic Health System.
Duties
  • Facilitates groups of youth and adults in experiential learning opportunities.
  • Assists in tracking progress toward defined goals and completes evaluative feedback concerning the emPowerU program.
  • Maintains positive working relationships and collaborates with representatives from all community sectors: business, education, health, government, the faith community, youth, and social service.
  • Works with the team to bolster the success of the emPowerU program.
  • Utilizes technology as primary tools for the program.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree from four year college or university in education or related field. Candidates must be familiar with experiential and constructivist learning theories.
  • If operating a motor vehicle for business purposes, must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Experience with facilitating preferred.
