Summary
  • This position works collaboratively to provide support of the clinical information systems. This position serves as a system wide resource for initial implementation, design and future state optimization. They are actively involved in process redesign, policy review and development, and end user communication for technology solutions. In conjunction with the activation site and PI/IT resources, this position works to promote process efficiency and achieve operational effectiveness. Participates in problem solving issues related to clinical information maintenance of the business and clinical information system.
  • This position is employed by Mosaic Health System.
Duties
  • Develop revised workflow and information management models for the practice, based on meaningful use of a certified EHR product; As the practice implements the EMR, work directly with practice personnel to implement the revised workflow and information management model.
  • Provide proactive user support of the EMR including but not limited to training and education. Assist in evaluation and development of training and in-service programs.
  • Working with caregivers, evaluate the new processes as implemented, identify problems and changes that are needed, and implement these changes; Design processes and information flows for the practice that accommodate quality improvement and reporting.
  • Participate in systems analysis and research related to the EMR.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of current trends and issues in healthcare, relevant clinical practice, Healthcare Informatics, JCAHO standards and other regulatory bodies, policies and procedures as related to clinical practice and the legal implications of the EMR, clinical applications currently in use and their relationship to other information systems.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma required. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • At least four years’ experience working with an Electronic Medical Record required; Knowledge of healthcare workflows and operations, in depth knowledge and training of the EMR system and strong experience in workflow design required; Change management experience required. Proven leadership skills. Computer skills and knowledge of basic office applications and clinical applications.
