Summary
  • This position provides a wide range of assistive services to promote patient flow, patient information gathering and patient care in the clinic setting. Performs patient access duties i.e. patient check in and appointment setting for the Provider's office to support patient care delivery and follow up. All medical tasks will be performed per the direction of the clinic nurse or Provider.
  • This position works under the supervision of the Clinic Manager and under the direction of the provider and/or nurse and is employed by Mosaic Life Care.
Duties
  • Interviews patient and documents patient’s response in the medical record according to standard.
  • Administers and documents prescribed medications (oral, intramuscular, intradermal, subcutaneous, inhaled, drops) and treatments in accordance with organizational standards.
  • Observes, records, and reports patient’s response to medications and treatments to provider(s).
  • Documentation and communication of medication refills.
  • Assists provider with examinations and procedures, including preparing sterile field and properly maintains equipment before and after procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • H.S. Diploma is required. If hired after 06/01/2021 will need to complete a Medical Assistant training program is required.
  • CMA - Certified Or Registered Medical Assistant is required. Clinical\BCLS - Basic Life Support is required.
  • Six months physician’s office or healthcare setting is preferred.
