Highlights
    The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of gastroenterological conditions and treatment options. This individual will combine care with aspects of medical care, focusing on the patient as a whole person. The provision of care includes but is not limited to: consulting and diagnosing patients, managing and treating conditions consulting with other physicians, among other duties. Teaching and counseling individuals, families, and groups are an important part of this.

  • Hospitalists admit patients, GI team provides consults
  • Provide evaluations and consults with indirect supervision

Qualifications
  • Successful completion of a CNS or APRN master’s degree in a nursing program in the specialty area or must demonstrate successful completion of a formal post-graduate track or accredited program (within the specialty area) within a school of nursing granted graduate-level academic credit (e.g. graduate, non-matriculating program)
  • Licensed in state of Missouri or Kansas, depending upon designated work location. Must be currently certified by a nationally recognized certifying body acceptable to the Missouri or Kansas State Board of Nursing as well as hold and maintain a current Document of Recognition
  • Previous experience in Gastroenterology, Internal Medicine or Surgery preferred, but not required
