Summary
  • This position performs non-invasive ultrasound diagnostic procedures on the heart (echo, TEE and stress echo). This position works under the supervision of the Director and is employed by Mosaic Health Systems.
Duties
  • Performs echocardiographic studies, stress echo, TEE, and contrast echo studies.
  • Recognizes sonographic characteristics of normal and abnormal tissues, structures and blood flow; Adjusts scanning technique to optimize image quality and spectral waveform characteristics.
  • Analyzes sonographic findings throughout the course of the examination so that a comprehensive exam is completed and sufficient data is provided to the physician to direct patient management and render a final diagnosis.
  • Assesses patient charts and prepares preliminary report worksheet for physician.
  • Perform patient assessments as it relates to the diagnostic ultrasound procedure.
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • All required education is a minimum requirement. Higher levels of education are acceptable. Successful completion of accredited Ultrasound program or Equivalent work experience paired with ARDMS or CCI Registered Cardiac Sonographer required.
  • ARDMS - Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonography or ARDCS - Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer required within 18 months and BCLS - Basic Life Support upon employment required.
  • Experience in performing echocardiograms preferred.
